In 2005 in the village of Spingul, northern Afghanistan, a woman charged with adultery was killed. 29-year-old
Amina, according to different versions, was stoned to death, strangled, died of heart attack or committed suicide. Her husband, living in Iran where he went just after the wedding to look for a job, does not react to his wife’s death. Krzysztof Kopczyński

Documentary filmmaker, PhD, Professor at the University of Warsaw. He produced over 50 documentaries which have been shown at festivals in 70 countries at least and won about140 awards. Director of documentaries “Stone Silence” (Afghanistan, 2007, screened in 40 countries) and “The Dybbuk: A Tale of Wandering Souls” (Ukraine, 2015, 20 countries). He is a winner of 25 film awards and a member of the European Film Academy as well as the Polish Film Academy.
