POLISH ANIMATED FILMS IN IRAN

In the first week of March starts the 11th edition of the Tehran International Animation Festival. As many as four Polish short animated films are invited to the competition.

The Tehran International Animation Festival is one of the most interesting events dedicated to animated film in that region of the world. The organisers put importance not only on the screenings of outstanding films but also on the atmosphere and the space for creative dialogue.  The aim of the festival is to support and to encourage the film-makers to create art, to search for new innovative forms and to exchange experiences with each other.

The core of the programme is comprised of the competition and non-competing sections, special screenings and panoramas. As many as four Polish films are invited to this most prestigious section. The following films compete for the best international animated film award:  “Bernard” by Anna Oparkowska, “Three Women on a Bench” by Karolina Borgiasz, “Beside Oneself” by Karolina Specht and “Oh Mother” by Paulina Ziółkowska.
