POLISH DOCUMENTARY FILMS AT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVALS IN MARCH

In March, the spring festival season starts for good. This month, Polish documentary films will be shown, among others, in Prague, Vilnius and Kiev.

In February started the festival ZagrebDox in Croatia, at which the viewers can watch "The Symphony of the Ursus Factory" by Jaśmina Wójcik, "Summa" by Andrei Kutsil and "Diagnosis" by Ewa Podgórska. In March, "Diagnosis" will also appear at the Sofia International Film Festival in Bulgaria.

At the beginning of the month, in Prague the One World Human Rights Film Festival is held, in the programme of which there are as many as six documentary films: "Love and Empty Words" by Małgorzata Imielska, "Village of Swimming Cows" by Katarzyna Trzaska, "In Touch" by Paweł Ziemilski, "The Good Change" by Konrad Szołajski, "Home Games" by Alisa Kovalenko and "Unconditional Love" by Rafał Łysak. The film by Rafał Łysak will also appear at the festival Sundsvall in Sweden.

In the first half of March, "In A Lion" by Karol Lindholm will be shown at the Tampere Film Festival, "George and George on the Lakes" will appear at the Sail in Festival in Spain, and "Tensity" by Konrad Kultys at the Feminist Border Arts in the USA.

In March, two screenings are in store for the documentary films by Marcin Sauter: "Zhalanash – Empty Shore" at the Budapest Architecture Film Days in Hungary, and "I Grew Up As You Slept" at the DocuDays in Ukraine.

This month, the short documentary film "Pasdar" by Grzegorz Piekarski can boast two screenings – the film will be shown at the Kontrast Film Festival in Germany and at the Bunter Hund Short Film Festival in Germany. There, "Euphoria " by Natalia Pietsch will also be shown.

Mid-March, the Vilnius International Film Festival is held in Lithuania, where the following films are invited to the programme: "The Ugliest Car in the World" by Grzegorz Szczepaniak, "Over the Limit" by Mart Prus and "Volte" by Monika Kotecka and Karolina Poryzała.

In the second half of the month, the viewers of the World Film Festival in Estonia will watch "A Stranger On My Couch" by Grzegorz Brzozowski, the audience of the Golden State FF in the USA "Leocadia's Dream" by Krzysztof Nowicki, and at the Festival International de Films de Femmes de Créteil in France – "Dancing For You" by Katarzyna Lesisz.

Three Polish documentary films will be presented at the festival FebioFest in Slovakia: "Radwan" by Teresa Czepiec, "The Briefing" by Filip Drzewiecki and "Casting" by Klaudia Kęska. At the CPH:Dox, the following films will appear: "I was here"  by Nathalie Biancheri and Ola Jankowska and "Henryk Górecki: Symphony No. 3 (Symphony of Sorrowful Songs)" by Michał Merczyński.

March will end with a show of strong representation of Polish documentary films at the festival Mecal Pro. The audience in Spain will watch "Horse Riders" by Anna Gawlita, "Sisters" by Michał Hytroś, "Their Voices" by Eri Muzutani, as well as "The Briefing" and "In A Lion."
