SHORTS: STAGNANT WINS AWARD IN EGYPT

The film by Konrad Kultys has once again been noticed at an international festival. This time the short fiction film received an award from the Egyptian Film Critics Association at the Alexandria Short Film Festival.

The Alexandria Short Film Festival is a rather young festival. Launched in 2015, it has been gaining popularity ever since. The organisers’ main idea is to present international cinema above cultural and political divides.

The protagonist of the awarded film Stagnant is Adam, a tough skinhead who ignores his disability and tries to dominate his loved ones. His brother – and caretaker – decides to change jobs, forcing Adam to re-examine his situation and face his own limitations.
