It is the 11th time now that the latest documentary films are invited to be screened at MOMA. Festival will consist of 27 carefully composed programmes of which a great majority will be introduced to the audience by the authors in person. The festival’s inauguration will take place on 16th February with the screening of “United in Anger: A History of ACT UP” directed by Jim Hubbard – a first documentary to analyze the activity of ACT UP movement that from 1987 has been constantly acting to minimalize the percentage of AIDS infections worldwide.
Among the films screened at MoMA the programme features two screenings of numerously awarded “Argentinian lesson” ( Golden Horn at Krakow Film Festival and Silver Dove at DOK Leipzig). Wojciech Staroń’s film will be presented on 23rd February at 4:00 pm and 26th February at 1:30 pm. That is not the first time when Polish documentaries are invited as a part of the programme – three years ago “Glass trap” by Paweł Ferdek was screened within the frame of the very same event.
