21 x New York is competing, together with strong Polish representation: Icon by Wojciech Kasperski, Close Ties by Zofia Kowalewska, Last Season by Sławomir Witek, Springs Have Gone, Winter Are Coming by Karol Pałka, Education by Emi Buchwald, The Culture Cultivator by Anna Urbańczyk, Before Dawn by Łukasz Borowski, for unusual prize of the 31st Pärnu Film Festival. For more than thirty years directors of the best films presented in competition are honoured by this documentary and anthropology festival with traditional Estonian blankets.
From the Baltic Sea region 21 x New York will move directly to XVI Euganea Film Festival, to take part in international documentary competition. It will be the first screening of Stasik’s film in front of the Italian audience. In next weeks of July 21 x New York will be premiered in South Africa, also in international competition at the most important film festival on the continent – the 38th Durban International Film Festival.
The last summer competitive screening of the documentary, realized in the New York underground, will take place in Macedonia at MakeDox Creative Documentary Film Festival. Beyond 21 x New York, Macedonian audience will be able to see also Three Conversations on Life by Julia Staniszewska.
In the autumn 21 x New York will be presented at Vilnius Documentary Film Festival (Lithuanian premiere).
21 x New York opens in Polish cinemas on July 21.
