Now in its 45 th edition, Anima ranks among the largest and most significant animation festivals in the world. Horde, produced at the Animation Film Studio of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, has been chosen for the non-competitive New Talents section, which showcases international films and champions emerging European artists.
Synopsis: “A crowd of people feel a sudden compulsion to make their way to a mysterious tower standing in the middle of nowhere. Once inside they are unable to stop moving and dancing, unwittingly performing a ritual orchestrated by a creature perched atop the tower. A bewildered, detached figure passes through this frenzied commotion, untouched by the collective mania, who has simply found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
The Anima festival runs from 20 February to 1 March. Find out more about this year’s programme here.
