The Faito Doc Festival, which will held the screening of "Two Worlds" by Maciej Adamek, has begun on the August 1st. Adamek's film will be travelling widely during August – it not only visits the Italian festival but also the Festival de Cine Mas in Nicaragua, the Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival and the Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival in the USA, Assim Vivemos in Brazil, Festival de Cinema Douarnenez in France and the Arkipel Jakarta International Documentary and Experimental Film Festival in Indonesia.
If you are planning a trip to the Balkans do not miss the screening of "Close Ties" by Zofia Kowalewska, who will compete at the Montenegro Film Festival in Herceg Novi. "Polonaise" by Agnieszka Elbanowska awaits two screenings in the Balkans: the film has entered the competition at the DokuFest International Documentary and Short Film Festival in Kosovo as well as the Sarajevo Film Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina. And in the program of the MakeDox Festival in Macedonia you will find three more Polish movies: "Education" by Emi Buchwald, "Three Conversations on Life" by Julia Staniszewska and "21 x New York" by Piotr Stasik.
In sunny Mexico the International Film Festival with Gender Perspective will show "A Documentary Film" by Marcin Podolec, and in the USA "Communion" by Anna Zamecka will be presented at the Flickers’ International Rhode Island Film Festival.
Second half of August brings us to Italy for the Film Festival Della Lessina where "Before Dawn" by Łukasz Borowski will take part in the competition. The month ends with the Venice International Film Festival at which "The Prince and the Dybbuk” by Elwira Niewiera and Piotr Rosołowski will compete in the Venice Classic category.
