DOCS: “CONNECTED” WINS THE BEST DOCUMENTARY FILM AWARD AT THE AMERICAN FESTIVAL

The documentary film by Aleksandra Maciejczuk was appreciated by the Jury of the American Drunken Film Festival.

The Drunken Film Festival is an event for people who, in addition to good cinema, also value having fun in a nice company. The programme of the festival is always very diverse, there is no lack of documentary, animated and feature films. In addition to the local productions, you can watch a lot of films from all over the world.

The awarded film by Aleksandra Maciejczuk tells the story about a couple of 50-year-olds, Krzysztof and Wiola. The camera watches them when they are skiing. Krzysztof is blind and Wiola is his guide. Early in the morning, they prepare for skiing. Krzysztof installs Bluetooth sets on their helmets so that they are connected with each other.  They go to the top of the mountain by a chairlift. The higher they are, the more we learn about their lives. At the same time, the weather conditions change, the fog falling on the slope becomes thicker. When Wiola and Krzysztof finally reach the summit, they have to find each other and connect in the fog. A short, simple documentary form about love. The producer of    “Connected”      is the Lodz Film School.

This year’s edition of the festival was held from the 4th to the 12th of October.
