Natalia Koniarz’s ‘Silver’ has been selected for the competition programme at the Mumbai International Film Festival. The film’s inclusion in the competition opens up the opportunity for it to reach audiences and the film industry in one of the world’s most dynamically developing regions.
The Mumbai International Film Festival is one of the most important and recognisable documentary film festivals in Asia. Established in 1990, the festival is the oldest and largest event in South Asia dedicated to documentary, short and animated films. For two decades, it has served as a platform for showcasing the most interesting productions from India and around the world, bringing together filmmakers, producers, programmers and representatives of the international film industry.
For “Silver”, participation in MIFF is of particular significance, as this will be the film’s first screening before an Asian audience. The selection for the competition confirms the growing interest of international festivals in Natalia Koniarz’s documentary and creates another opportunity to promote Polish documentary cinema outside Europe.
The Asian premiere at one of the region’s key festivals is an important stage in the film’s festival journey, as well as a chance to reach new audiences and representatives of the global film industry.
