FILMS FROM THE KRAKOW FILM FESTIVAL AT CIAKPOLSKA

In November, the capital of Italy opens up to Polish cinema, but this time only virtually. This year, the CiakPolska program will feature documentaries that could be seen during the Krakow Film Festival.

CiakPolska Festival, co-organized with Italian public institutions and private partners (last year, among others, Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and Cineteca Nazionale, Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Capital Department of Culture, Zetema, Cortoitaliacinema), takes place in the Italian capital in autumn and has aimed at promoting Polish cinema in Italy. It’s a relatively small festival, but it hits its audience. The program consists of two sections; New Polish Cinema, which presents the most interesting films from recent years, and Classic Cinema, usually devoted to great directors of Polish cinema or one selected topic.

The program of the event prepared together with the Krakow Film Festival includes: “Fat Kathy” by Julia Pełka, “Connected” by Aleksandra Maciejczyk, “The Antarctic Syndrome” by Piotr Jaworski, “The Wind. A Documentary Thriller” by Michał Bielawski,“The Tough” by Marcin Polar,“Dam” by Natalia Koniarz.

This year’s edition of the event will take place between November 9 and 17 in the online version.
