BATTLEHEART

SERCE DO WALKI

Julka loves photography and meets Maciek thanks to this passion. Both live in a rather dangerous housing estate in one of Poland’s small towns. For many years the place has been the turf of rival groups of football fans supporting two clubs: Czarni and Pogoń. Maciek and Julka, contemporary equivalents of Romeo and Julia, are caught on the two opposite sides of the warring club factions and their love triggers a series of tragic events. The film follows their transformation and coming of age as a result of the events they partake in.
