CAMPO DI FIORI
In 1993 Michał Nekanda-Trepka made "The Carousel", a documentary on the relations between Poles and Jews during the Holocaust. Several years later he returns to the same topic with Campo di Fiori unveiling the drama of the troubled conscience of Poles. The leading motif is a well-known poem by Czesław Miłosz entitled Campo di Fiori, which is read out by the poet himself. The film is accompanied by archival photos of the Warsaw ghetto, accounts given by witnesses of the Holy Week of 1943 and the contemporary images of Campo de' Fiori and Krasiński Square.
