Anna is preparing to make a film. After some time she discovers that she is merely a character in the film and nothing depends on her. She rebels against the Author and writes her own film, creating characters anew, but her characters don’t want to be the heroes of someone else’s film. Her story is intertwined with the story of a strict literary critic who comes to realize the futility of his efforts…
