SASHKA, SASHKA
SASZKA, SASZKA
Sasha lives with his mum in a village near Kazan in Tatarstan, Russia. He has ambition to become a soldier. At the age of 9, he joined Cadet Corps. Now he has a far-reaching plan to study in Naval Academy in the faraway city of Samara. His mum discourages him from these ideas. She insists she will not let him go, even though Sasha, now 12, will be adult by this time. During one of his trips to the lake, Sasha tells his friend about a terrifying secret of his family. His dad was a bloody ringleader of the “Basenitchesky Gang”. Sasha’s father and five of his companions were murdered. One of them was killed before Sasha’s mum’s eyes, when she was strolling with his son in a buggy. He was only a few months old then. A few years later, Sasha’s mum married another man. The boy accepted him as his dad. But dark fate never really left them.
