TAKIE ŻYCIE...

The protagonist of the film is a middle-aged man who, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, in almost total solitude, takes care of his ailing mother. Closed in the circle of simple, everyday activities, cut off from his family and life he led so far, he fills slowly the reality of the old woman whom he loves with endless love. What hurts him most is passivity of his relatives, the fact that their memory of the elderly, ailing woman is limited to objects and holiday postcards…

Daniel Zieliński

born in Krakow, where he spent 29 years of his life. Now for a year and a half lives in Warsaw. He graduated from the faculty of Polish philology at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. At present he studies Television Creation and Production at the Polish National Film School in Łódź. For the last six years he has been working as a television journalist. He is a laureate of Grand Press for his television reportage, Camera Obscura for an investigation reportage and the award of Stefan Batory Foundation in the media anti corruption programe “Only Fish Don’t take Bait?”. The film That’s the life… is his first documentary.
