The month has begun with 27th Parnu International Documentary and Anthropology Film Festival in Estonia. Many Polish titles have been selected to take part in the competitive section of the festival: „The trip” by Bartosz Kruhlik, „Pizza a’la polonaise” by Grzegorz Krawiec, „Kichot” by Jagoda Szelc, „Secrets of love” by Krystian Matysek, „Written in ink” by Martin Rath, “Sashka, Sashka…” by Michał Szcześniak, “Rogalik” by Paweł Ziemilski and “Camp” by Tomasz Jeziorski.
Kruhlik’s documentary „The trip” has been also qualified to the copetition of 12th Euganea Film Festival in Italy. It will compete for awards with two other Polish films – “3 days of freedom” by Łukasz Borowski and “Spring, summer, fall” by Piotr Złotorowicz.
Since the spectacular success at Sundance Film Festival, „The Whistle” by Grzegorz Zariczny still has its run of luck. In July the film will be screened in the competitive sections of New Zealand Film Festival and 16th Guanajuato International Film Festival in Mexico. “Bad boy – high security cell” by Janusz Mrozowski will have the opportunity to conquer the hearts of the viewers at Jeruslaem Film festival and “Freestyle life” by Adam Palenta – at 21st Curtas Vila do Conde Film festival. Both films will be shown in non-competitive sections.
The widest selection of new Polish documentaries will be screened in July at 13th T-Mobile New Horizons International Film Festival. “The man who made angles fly” by Wiktoria Szymańska will compete for awards in the International Competition „Films about Art”.
