KFF SALES & PROMOTION FILMS AT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVALS IN AUGUST

In August our films will be travel almost the entire globe. They'll be in Australia, the United States, Brazil, and on our continent. Check out where to watch Polish productions from KFF Sales&Promotion agency in August.

A festival that lasts an entire month? Why not? The Political Shortfilm – Hamburg Summer Cinema presents the most interesting short films of the past season. It begins on 1 August and the program features Liberty by Joanna Różniak. MoliseCinema Film Festival starts the next day with a competition screening of Airborne by Andrzej Jobczyk. ]

Once again, August will be a successful month for Paweł Łoziński. His The Balcony Movie will first visit the Melbourne International Film Festival, followed by the Lakeside Film Festival in Germany, and finally land in the Czech Republic at Bardzo fajný festival and – near the end of the month – Filmový festival Litoměřice.

Diana and Krzysztof Kadłubowscy are also inviting you to a balcony. Their documentary Balcony Concert will be featured at two festivals in Macedonia – the AsterFest International Film Festival and at the Makedox Creative Documentary Film Festival.

One surprise is the screening of Pussy by Renata Gąsiorowska. This incredibly popular and award-winning animated film is still invited to international events after many years. This time, the film will be screened before the audience of MICRODOSE Event in the US.

The Melbourne International Film Festival begins in the early days of August. During the 70th edition of the festival, the audience and jury will get to watch Julia Siuda’s animated film Fury. The DokuFest International Documentary and Short Film Festival also starts on a similar date. The program features Andrzej Jobczyk’s Airborne. The animated film will also be screened in Brazil at the Sao Paulo International Short Film Festival.

Two Polish shorts will also be presented at La Guarimba Film Festival. Venus of Willendorf by Zuzanna Grajcewicz and the animated film My Fat Arse and I by Yelyzaveta Pysmak both have a chance to win the local awards.

Four Polish documentary films will be screened in Serbia during Interaction: Short Docs Festival. Martyna Peszko and her intimate Tell Me More will be competing for awards there, while non-competitive sections will include Volte by Monika Kotecka and Karolina Poryzała, The Tough by Marcin Polar, and Andrzej Cichocki’s A Little Bit of Paradise.

Ficmonterrey – Monterrey International Film Festival kicks off in the second half of the month. During this Mexican festival, the audience will get to see Backstage by Ada Smyk and The Herd by Monika Kotecka and Karolina Poryzała.

Back in the Czech Republic, Bardzo fajný festival and Filmový festival Litoměřice will be followed by the International Mountaineering Film Festival where viewers will have the opportunity to watch The Way by Wojtek Kozakiewicz.

This month, The Visit by Mateusz Jarmulski will be screened at the ALPINALE Short Film Festival in Austria, Andrea Guizar’s animated film Toothless will be shown at the Flipbook Film Festival in Macedonia, while Denmark’s OFF – Odense International Film Festival will feature Julia Siuda’s Fury.

The BuSho Film Festival kicks off at the turn of August. The program of this Hungarian festival includes Stagnant by Konrad Kultys.
