“LUXURY” IN CANADA WITHIN THE FRAMES OF BEST OF SHORTS

Worldwide Short Film Festival in Toronto, one of the most important festivals in North America dedicated to short films, finished on 6th June, but the Canadian audience will again have an opportunity to get acquainted with crème de la crème of the festival. On 21st July in National Film Board in Toronto, there will be the screening of the award-winning films at the Worldwide Short Film Festival. Among them, there is “Luxury” by Jarosław Sztandera – the winner of TELUS Audience Choice Award.

Dur­ing the clos­ing cer­e­mony of the World­wide Short Film Fes­ti­val in Toronto, which took place from 1st to 6th June, one of the main prizes – TELUS Au­di­ence Choice Award – went to Pol­ish di­rec­tor, Jarosław Sz­tandera. His short film “Lux­ury” was ap­pre­ci­ated by the au­di­ence and cho­sen from over 281 films shown at the fes­ti­val. The screen­ing of the award-​winning films took place on the last day of the fes­ti­val in Cum­ber­land The­atre.

It was not, how­ever, the last chance to see the fes­ti­val award-​winners. The or­ga­niz­ers of World­wide Short Film Fes­ti­val in­vite to the screen­ing “Best of Shorts” – to the pre­sen­ta­tion of the best short films of the past edi­tion. On 21st July, in the NFB Cin­ema in Toronto, the vic­to­ri­ous films will be shown: along­side with the Cana­dian fea­ture films: “Slip” by Chelsea Mc­Mul­lan and “Fishes” by Jean Malek, the doc­u­men­tary “The Poo­dle Trainer” by Amer­i­can di­rec­tor Vance Mal­one, French an­i­ma­tion “Si­lence Be­neath the Bark” by Joanna Lurie, as well as fea­ture film “A Para­chute Falling in Siberia” by Aus­tralian di­rec­tor Ian Mead­ows, there will also be “Lux­ury” by Jarosław Sz­tandera.
