SHORTS: “MARCEL” AWARDED IN ICELAND

Marcin Mikulski was named best director for Marcel at The Pigeon International Film Festival in Iceland.

The Pigeon International Film Festival was held for the first time this year. The organisers decided to focus on showing the most interesting short film and documentaries. Polish cinematography was a special feature at the debuting festival, so a lot of our productions could be found in its program.

One of them was “Marcel” with Marcin Mikulski awarded for best direction. The protagonist loves his life because nobody notices him: the ticket inspector on a bus, his boss in the office, a couple of lovers in the elevator… However, one cloudy summer day his perfect world will be turned upside down. And it will only get worse.

The film was produced at Munk Studio as part of the “30 Minutes” program co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
