IndieFlix is an Internet portal created by filmmakers, where you can watch the best independent films. The developers of IndieFlix emphasise that the portal was created with the inspiration of independent filmmakers as a place where they can show their films to a wider audience and earn some money at the same time. Beginning last week, there are three Polish films in the IndieFlix video library, all of them produced by Wajda Studio: "Paparazzi" by Piotr Bernaś, "My House Without Me" by Magdalena Szymków and "3 Days of Freedom" by Łukasz Borowski.
"Paparazzi,” a 2011 nominee for the European Film Award, documents the life of Polish paparazzo, who – just like his Western colleagues – tracks down the rich and the famous, hunting for sensation. But Polish stars, in contrast to those of Los Angeles, lead really boring lives. Therefore, lured by money, the paparazzo decides to play high.

Janina, the protagonist of “My House Without Me” was deported to Kazakhstan during the second world war as a ten-year-old girl. After the war, she was repatriated to the “recovered territories,” abandoned by deported Germans. She settled down in a house in Szczecin. This house previously belonged to the Germans. Here, in turn, Annemarie was born, and she had to abandon her homeland after the war… Two women, one house. The documentary shows the paradoxes of history, in which one place can be both a synonym of regained peace and lost youth.

The director of “3 Days of Freedom” accompanies Piotr, who does his time in prison, during his first leave. A modest prison reality to which the protagonist got used to, turns out to be nothing in comparison to the world outside, full of unlimited choices. Driving with GPS, subway, escalator, or simply buying a shirt are a challenge to Piotr. Lost and bewildered, and at the same time fascinated, he tries to understand the contemporary world. However, it will not be the most difficult thing for him. During his leave, he will have to deal with his life, judge his own past and estimate his chances for the future. Choose what is most important to him. There is not much hope for many things, but he can still redress some of them. How will he use the three days of freedom?
