PIOTR GŁOWACKI AWARDED IN NICE

The twelfth edition of the short film festival in Nice came to an end on 28 October. On the same day, the Nicene audience and foreign guests got to know the award-winning films of the four competition sections.

This year, during the festival 174 films, representing the cinematographies from the entire Europe, were shown. Polish films were not missing from the programme – the feature film "Normal people" by Piotr Złotorowicz qualified for the main international competition, and one could see the documentary animation "Paperbox" by Zbigniew Czapla in the experimental section Experience.

On the last day of the festival, the jury announced the winner list, on which there was also the film "Normal people". The jury of the international competition awarded Piotr Głogowski’s creation. Daniel – the main protagonist of "Normal people" leaves the prison after several years of doing his time; unfortunately, what he finds at home does not enable him to immediately change his fate for the better. The film by Złotorowicz was produced by the Polish National Film School in Łódź.

Last year, Głowacki appeared in the cast of some short films,  among others "The Room" by Maciej Bochniak and Sławomir Shuty, "Owl" by Marta Karwowska, "The rules of the game" by Wojciech Jagiełło and "Night porter" by Paulina Nurkowska.
