The Kitzbuehel Film Festival is a young festival which this year celebrates its 5th anniversary. It is considered young not only because of its short history, but also due to the fact that its aim is to promote young, in many cases debuting, filmmakers.
During this edition of the Festival the Best Short Award went to the short fiction "The Dogcatcher" by Daria Woszek.
"The Dogcatcher" is a black comedy telling a story of a man who kidnaps dogs for ransom to afterwards return them as a hero and get all the glory. One day he kidnaps a German Shepherd which turns out to be a stray dog.
