TWO AWARDS FOR “AMERICA”

New awards went to the film "America" by Aleksandra Terpińska. The short feature film won the award at the festival Early Bird, and a bit earlier, it was honoured at shnit International Shortfilm Festival in Switzerland.

On October 6, ended the 12th edition of the student film festival Early Bird. This year, the main award in Bulgaria went to "America" by Aleksandra Terpińska.

Over 1330 films from 90 countries of the world were submitted to this year's edition of the festival, and during the event, you could watch 130 films chosen in the official selection, including four Polish productions. Among them, there was "America" by Aleksandra Terpińska, who won the Early Bird Grand Award.

In Switzerland, the award ceremony was held on October 15. At shnit International Shortfilm Festival, "America" won the main award and The Flaming Faun statuette in the category for films not longer than 40 minutes. 

"America" is a short film about two best friends – Anka and Dżastina, who dream of a better life. When they make the decision to hitch-hike, an innocent adventure irrevocably changes their mutual relations.
