TWO POLISH FILMS AWARDED IN BUDAPEST

On January 28th Budapest International Documentary Festival in Hungary came to an end. Two Polish films: "Communion" by Anna Zamecka and "Zhalanash - Empty Shore" by Marcin Sauter were among the festival winners.

Each year Budapest International Documentary Festival invites to the competition creative and widely recognised documentary films. This year the BIDF programme included several documentaries from Poland and two of them won awards in Budapest.

"Zhalanash – Empty Shore" won the I’ll be short competition. The jury emphasised that the film feels like pure poetry, massively supported by fantastic music, and as such gets under the skin of the viewer. According to them pictures and music are a new level of film experience and a perfect example of the art of cinema.

The second Polish film awarded in Budapest is "Communion" by Anna Zamecka. The film received the main award of the They’re innocent competition.
