The Hungarian festival, devoted to documentary films focusing on human rights, was held this year for the 14th time. During this edition the Best Student Film award went to ”Urban Cowboys” by Paweł Ziemilski.
The short documentary shows the story of Dylan who lives in Clondalkin in Dublin, the so called bad neighbourhood famous for its ”urban cowboys” – the teenagers illegally keeping wild horses. The cowboys spend all days riding their horses bareback, yet during the night they set them free to comply with the official bans – the city authorities are fighting down those practices. Dylan, 14 years old orphan raised by his grandparents, names his first horse after his mother – Shelly. ”The last urban cowboy” is a story about love, dreams and crazy adventure that come from passion for wild horses.
