“VOLTE” NOMINATED FOR THE CINEMA EYE HONORS

The list of nominees for the 2019 Cinema Eye Honors has been announced. Among the films competing for an award there are the Polish one: "Volte" by Monika Kotecka i Karolina Poryzała.

This year, Polish films “Volte” by Monika Kotecka and Karolina Poryzała, is nominated for the Cinema Eye Honors awards. The documentary is among five documentary films which are competing for the Cinema Eye Honors award in the Outstanding Achievement in Nonfiction Short Filmmaking category.

Cinema Eye Honors are awarded to the best documentary films since 2008. For the film to be nominated it has to be presented at one of the following festivals: Sundance, Berlin, True/False, SXSW, Full Frame, Tribeca, Hot Docs, Cannes, Silverdocs, Los Angeles, Toronto, Sheffield or IDFA. Candidates for the Cinema Eye Honors are chosen by the representatives of the big documentary film festivals and the winners each year are decided by around 200 documentary industry members invited by the Cinema Eye.

Last year two Polish films were nominated” “Polonaise” by Agnieszka Elbanowska and “Communion” by Anna Zamecka.
