DOCS: “WAITING ROOM” WORLD PREMIERE AT DOCLISBOA

One of the most important documentary festivals in the world has announced its program. There is also a Polish film among the selected titles. Attendees will get to see Aleksandra Folczak's short production.

Doclisboa has been held since 2002 and is one of the most important documentary festivals in the world. When creating its program, the organisers are looking for films that find an innovative way to combine documentary stories with an interesting form. The presented documentaries come from all over the world.

This year, Aleksandra Folczak’s film has been invited to one of the competitions. The world premiere of Waiting Room will take place at the festival.

During the isolation caused by the coronavirus epidemic, the director talks on the phone with her friends and family. The film records a series of intimate confessions made by people trying to adapt to this unusual situation, their longings, needs, emotions. Everyone will find fragments of their own experiences from that challenging time in these humorous and emotional stories.
