Polish Film Festival Los Angeles is organised by the Polish American Film Society. The members of the society aim to promote Polish culture and Polish cinematography in the United States. Vladek Juszkiewicz is the originator and the manager of the festival.
In this year’s festival programme there are over 30 films, feature as well as documentary and animated films. At the Opening Night Gala, on 9 October 2012, the awards for the best of them were given. In the documentary film category, the jury decided to give the Hollywood Eagle Documentary Award to the picture by Paweł Wysoczański "We will be happy one day"
. The film tells the story of a teenager coming from the poorest part of the Silesia, who begins to shoot a film on his mobile phone about his city district and his peers living there.More information and the list of the award-winners on
