Bogotá Short Film Festival takes place at the beginning of December and presents the best short films from around the world. BogoShorts is not only about film screenings and competitions, but also “Short in works” industry meetings, workshops, meetings with filmmakers and promotional activity, also at international markets.
Several Polish films were invited to this year’s competition. Apart from the awarded film by Ziółkowska three other animations were competing for the iconic Santa Lucia statuette: “Bernard” by Anna Oparkowska, “Thicket” by Adrianna Matwiejczuk and “Room” by Michał Socha as well as a short fiction film “Skinny” by Daniel Stopa.
The awarded “Bless You!” tells a story of people waiting at a bus stop. Suddenly someone sneezes. And then someone else. And yet another person. The epidemic breaks out. However, in the midst of the sneezing chaos, it turns out that the worst thing you can do is to get sick of yourself.
