Premiers Plans Festival, which takes place is Angers, presents film debuts of European directors. The programme is filled with short, animated and documentary films. The audience have a chance to see the first films of promising filmmakers, as well as get to know the body of work of accomplished directors while attending retrospectives dedicated to them.
Polish productions are in three out of four competitions. “Weightlifter” directed by Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk will compete for the title of the best short film of the festival. At the same time “REM” by Artur Hanaj or “You Are Overreacting” by Karolina Paciorkowska might become the best animation. In the student film category we keep our fingers crossed for “Tremors” by Dawid Bodzak.
Michael Dudok de Wit was appointed the Head of the Jury of the short film sections. Winners will be announced at the beginning of February.
