Visions du Réel has been organized in the Swiss city of Nyon since 1969. At the beginning the festival in Nyon showcased mainly Swiss films and productions from Eastern Bloc countries, which were very difficult to see by audiences from Western Europe. Currently, Visions du Reél is one of the largest documentary film festivals in Europe. This year’s edition will take place from April 24 to May 2.
Two Polish films are competing for the title of the best international short or medium-length documentary – the documentary “An Ordinary Country” by Tomasz Wolski and the animated documentary “We Have One Heart” by Katarzyna Warzecha.
More information about Visions de Reél can be found on the festival’s website.
