”ZHALANASH – EMPTY SHORE” WINS GOLDEN FROG AT CAMERIMAGE

On November 18th the official award ceremony of the 25th Camerimage International Film Festival took place in Bydgoszcz, Poland. The Golden Frog award of the Documentary Shorts Competition went to ”Zhalanash – Empty Shore” by Marcin Sauter.

The Documentary Shorts Competition is one of several international competitions at the Camerimage Festival. Its aim is to celebrate documentary films as a form of artistic interpretation of reality. Focusing especially on a visual and esthetical side of a film, the jury judges the best achievements in the art of cinematography picture, handing out awards to the best documentary cinematographers that entered the competition.

This year seventeen films from around the world went through the official selection. The Golden Frog award went to ”Zhalanash – Empty Shore” whose both director and cinematographer is Marcin Sauter.
