Nordic Docs is one of the few festivals to be held in cinemas this year. The event is devoted to documentary films in its entirety and the programme includes the best international productions of recent years.
Michał Bielawski’s film will open the entire event this evening. This is also the film’s premiere in Norway. The film is focused around the halny foehn wind – one of the most unpredictable forces in the Polish mountains. Most halny occur every spring and autumn. You never know if and when will it turn into a destructive gale. Halny affects the residents of Zakopane and its surrounding area the most, subjecting picturesque mountain trails to nature’s untamed strength. “Wind. A Documentary Thriller” was produced by TELEMARK Sp. z o.o.
