The Echo” – Grand Prix winner in Aix-en-Provence!

At recently-finished international short-length film festival Tous Courts in French Aix-en-Provence, “The Echo” - a fifteen-minute-long feature etude by the student of the Lodz Film School Magnus von Horn - won the Grand Prix.

In the quest for the festival’s main prize, the film by von Horn beat sixty-four other competitors from around the world, who were presenting documentary, animated and short-length films in  Aix-en-Provence .

“Echo” is an extremely moving, beautifully filmed tale about two boys who murdered their school friend. The prize at Aix festival is not the first award for this film. “Echo” began its career receiving the Silver Hobby-Horse at this year’s Krakow Film Festival, and was shown at numerous festivals around the world. It was awarded Grand Prix at  Munich International Festival of Film Schools and prizes for the best film at Open St. Petersburg Student Film Festival in Russia and  International Short Film Festival of Lille in France. The film will also be one of the Polish representatives at the next year’s Sundance festival.

The festival in  Aix-en-Provence took place from 23rd November to 5th December and it was its 27th edition.
