The festival dei Popoli, organised in Florence, can boast a long history. Its first edition took place in 1959. Over the past 50 years of its existence, the festival managed to become a recognisable brand in the documentary film industry.
This year, its 57th edition was held, during which Gian Paolo Paoli Award for the best ethno-anthropological film went to "You Have No Idea How Much I Love You" by Paweł Łoziński. In the justification given by the jury, we can read that “anthropology means also questioning the family relations. In this powerful cinematographic experience, a mother and a daughter try to speak to each other under the watchful eye of a therapist. We feel like in a film of John Cassavetes, where faces turn into unforgettable landscapes of emotions.”
