In the documentary film section “Echo”, the film by Magnus von Horn, school feature film etude from the Lodz Film School will compete for the prize.

“Echo”, an extremely moving, beautifully filmed tale about two boys, who killed their school friend, is one of the powerful films of the Lodz Film School this year. The film, which is promoted abroad by the Krakow Film Foundation, has already travelled almost half of the world. It began its career receiving the Silver Hobby-horse at this year’s Krakow Film Festival. “Echo” was shown and awarded at many festivals, among others, at  Oberhausen Short Film Festival in Germany, at Curtas vila do Conde in Portugal, at  Rhode Island IFF in the USA, at Odense FF in Denmark, at International Short Film Festival in Drama in Greece, at  38th Festival du Nouveau Cinema in Montreal, Canada, at  Open St. Petersburg Student Film Festival in Russia (the best short-length film award), at Leeds Film Festival in Great Britain, at  International Short Film Festival of Lille in France (the best feature-film award), at  Curtocircuito Festival in Spain, at  Alcine Film Festival in Spain, at Munich International Festival of Film Schools (Grand Prix) in Germany, at  Brest European Short Film Festival in France, at Zagreb Film Festival in Croatia, at  Festival Tous Courts in Aix-en-Provence in France(Grand Prix), at  FilmFestival Cottbus in Germany, at  51th Zinebi Bilbao in Spain and at Prague Short FF in the Czech Republic.
