Documentary film "The Prince and the Dybbuk" directed by Elwira Niewiera and Piotr Rosołowski was the only Polish representative at this year's edition of the Venice IFF. It was presented in the Venice Classics Documentary section. The screening was the world premiere. Awards in the Venice Classics sections were given by the Jury consisting of Cinema History students and chaired by a director and screenwriter Giuseppe Piccioni.
On August 27th the Kitzbuehel Film Festival in Austria was officially closed. Daria Woszek came back from the festival with an award for her film "The Dogcatcher".
On August 25th another MakeDox Festival edition came to an end. The main prize went to Piotr Stasik for his film "21 x New York".
On August 7th the Herceg Novi Film Festival came to an end. Grand Prix Award was given to "Close Ties" by Zofia Kowalewska.

On July 27th, during the official press conference, the program of the 74th Venice International Film Festival was announced. Polish film "The Prince and the Dybbuk" by Elwira Niewiera and Piotr Rosołowski was selected for the VENICE CLASSICS - Documentary on Cinema competition section.
On the 24th of July FIDBA - Buenos Aires International Documentary Film Festival will begin. This year thanks to the Focus on Polish Docs section the festival audience will see over 20 Polish documentaries.
Last week The Iron Mule Festival held a screening of "Pinky". The film was awarded the jury's prize.

On July 9 the official award ceremony of Euganea Film Festival took place in Italy. Best International Short Movie Award was given to Damian Kocur for his film "The Return".
Since the end of the 56th Krakow Film Festival, when 21 x New York had its world premiere, it’s on intense travel through international festivals all over the world. After its second Estonian screening, the documentary directed by Piotr Stasik is going for further journey through Lithuania, Italy, Macedonia and South Africa.
