“VOLTE” AWARDED AT HOT DOCS
On May 5, the award-winners of the festival Hot Docs were announced. Among the award-winners, there is the film "Volte" by Monika Kotecka and Karolina Poryzała.
“COMMUNION” AND “POLONAISE” AWARDED IN BRAZIL
On April 29, the award ceremony at the Brazilian festival It’s All True - 22nd International Documentary Film Festival was held. "Communion" by Anna Zamecka turned out to be the best film of the festival and "Polonaise" by Agnieszka Elbanowska won the Honorable Mention.
“SPRINGS HAVE GONE, WINTERS ARE COMING” WINS A SPECIAL MENTION IN TURKEY
On April 23 ended Ismailia International Film Festival for Documentaries and Shorts. "Springs have gone, winters are coming" by Karol Pałka returned from Turkey with an award.
THE FILM BY TERPIŃSKA WILL COMPETE IN CANNES
The short feature film "The best fireworks ever," directed by Aleksandra Terpińska, qualified for the short film competition at the 56th Semaine de la Ciritique during the Cannes Film Festival! It will be the international première of the film, the producer of which is Munk Studio, operating by the Polish Filmmakers Association.
POLISH FILMS IN THE COMPETITIONS AT 57. KRAKOW FILM FESTIVAL
Among the documentary, short and animated films from all over the world, there will be a strong representation of Polish titles, which will participate in all four festival competitions, but will also be included in the programmes of the non-competing sections.
POLISH FILMS AT GOEAST
This year, the 17th edition of the festival goEast – the festival of films from Eastern and Central Europe - is held in Wiesbaden, Germany. A large representation of Polish films will participate in the event.
THREE AWARDS FOR “PUSSY” AT THE FESTIVAL IN DRESDEN
The rapidly increasing pool of awards for the film by Renata Gąsiorowska was joined by three special mentions at the festival in Dresden.
“CLOSE TIES” AWARDED IN VILNIUS
On April 6, the awards at the International Film Festival "Kino Pavasaris" in Vilnius were given. In the short film competition, the title "The Best Film" went to "Close Ties," directed by Zofia Kowalewska.

SIX POLISH FILMS IN THE PROGRAMME OF HOT DOCS
On April 27, the International Documentary Film Festival "Hot Docs" in Canada starts. In the programme of this year's edition, there are six Polish documentary films: "Close Ties" by Zofia Kowalewska, "Communion" by Anna Zamecka, "Goran the camel man" by Marcin Lesisz, "Photon" by Norman Leto, "Volte" by Monika Kotecka and Karolina Poryzała and "Urban Cowboys" by Paweł Ziemilski.
POLISH FILM AWARDS ARE GIVEN
On Monday evening, March 20, there was the awards ceremony of Polish Film Academy. The statuette of the Eagle for the best documentary film went to "Communion" by Anna Zamecka. The best music award, however, went to Mikołaj Trzaska, the protagonist of the documentary film "The Internal Ear."
