At the recently finished International Mountain Film Festival in Tegernsee, two Polish documentary films were shown: "The Place" by Julia Popławska and "Jurek" by Paweł Wysoczański. Both returned from Germany with awards.
"Fugue For Cello, Trumpet and Landscape" by Jerzy Kucia and "It's Quite True" by Joanna Jasińska Koronkiewicz were nominated for the prestigious Asian television Gold Panda awards. The award gala of the 13th edition of the event is held on November 4.
Two Polish films were awarded at this year's edition of the Brno 16 Festival. The film "Light in August" by Matej Bobrik won the Student Jury Award and the Special Mention, and "Larp" by Kordian Kądziela - the Special Mention.

25th edition of the International Documentary Film Festival "Message to Man" turned out to be very lucky for Polish documentary films. Four Polish productions were awarded.
The latest films by Tomek Ducki ("Baths") and Piotr Dumała ("Hippos") are among the most popular festival films of the past year. Late September both films scored awards at festivals KROK and 2Annas.
