The latest film by Jerzy Kucia, "Fugue for Cello, Trumpet and Landscape" won the Golden Horseman Animation award at 27th Filmfest Dresden. The festival ended last Sunday, April 19.

We already know the full list of films qualified for the competitions of 55th Krakow Film Festival. This year, 20 Polish documentary films will compete for awards in various competition sections.
Two Polish films are among the award-winners of the Go Short festival, which ended last Sunday, April 12. The film "Mother Earth" by Piotr Złotorowicz was awarded with the best student film award, while "Super Unit" by Teresa Czepiec – with a special mention in the documentary film category.
The International Film Festival "Kino Pavasaris" in Vilnius ended on April 2. "Object" by Paulina Skibińska won the Special Mention in the short film competition.
In April, Polish films appear at twenty two international festivals, among others, at Hot Docs in Canada and IndieLisboa in Portugal. The viewers from around the world will have a chance to see a total of seventeen Polish documentary films.
Today the programme of 39th edition of Annecy International Animation Film Festival was revealed. Among the films that are to screen as a part of the competition stand four Polish animations. This year's edition of the festival will be held between 15th and 20th June.
"15 Corners of the World" by Zuzanna Solakiewicz was chosen the best feature-length documentary film at the Documentary and Short Film Festival in Belgrade.
The documentary by Aneta Kopacz won honorable mention in the Best Women's Short Film category at the International Film Festival in Cleveland.
Polish-Armenian film "Milky Brother" by Vahram Mkhitaryan won the Best Short Film award at the Febiofest SK festival. The main part of the festival was held from 20 to 26 March in Bratislava.
12th edition of the Docudays festival in Kiev ended on March 26. The main award in short documentary film competition went to "Starting Point", while honorary diploma in the DOCU/LIFE section was given to "Deep Love".
