Michał Toczek's film has won the Grand Prix award at the Tbilisi International Student Film Festival shortly after returning from the Nashville Film Festival with an audience award.
ANIM: “THIS WILL NOT BE A FESTIVAL FILM” WINS YET ANOTHER AWARD
Contrary to its title, the animated short by Julia Orlik won another award. This time the film was recognised as the best student production at The Smalls Film Festival in the UK.
ANIM: “CRAB” WINS OSCAR-QUALIFYING AWARD
It was bound to happen. The animated film by Piotr Chmielewski has had an excellent run at festivals for quite some time now and brought numerous distinctions and awards. The latest win happened at the Edmonton International Film Festival in Canada and turned out to be the one qualifying for the famous American awards.
POLISH FILMS IN DOK LEIPZIG PROGRAM
We've learned the program of one of the most important documentary and animated film festivals. As usual, there is no shortage of Polish representation in the competitions and non-competitive segments. One strong highlight will be the special retrospective “Film and Protest – Popular Uprisings in The Cold War”.
ANIM: “ZIMA” WINS IN OTTAWA
The animated film by Tomek Popakul and Kasumi Ozeki stole the hearts of jurors at the famous Ottawa International Animation Festival in Canada. It was named best narrative short of the festival.
“UNCLE VAKHO’S DREAM” NAMED BEST FILM AT ELBE DOCK
The short documentary by Joanna Rój returns with the ELBE DOCK 2023 Award for best film from the Czech-German 6th International Film Festival ELBE DOCK, which is held in Ústí nad Labem and Dresden.
