Polish documentaries have been included in the competitive programme of the prestigious Karlovy Vary International Film Festival for the consecutive year. This time Poland will have its representatives both in short and feature length competitions.
Moscow Film Festival – one of the most important film festivals in Europe – has just begun. Although it’s known mainly as a feature film festival, documentaries also form part of its programme. This year two of them are Polish productions.

A documentary “The Whistle” by Grzegorz Zariczny made it to the elite group of six short films screened as a part of the spring edition of Future Shorts Festival. The programme is screened between April and June in 30 cities in Europe and around the world.
From yesterday on the accredited quests visiting Cannes Film Festival can watch Polish short films as a part of Short Film Corner selection. This year there are nearly 2000 films made all over the world in the videotheque.
Two Polish films have been awarded at DOXA Film Festival that ended on May 12th. “18 kg” by Kacper Czyubak has won Short Documentary Award and “Feestyle life” by Adam Palenta has received Honourable Mention of the Youth Jury.
