Today in the evening starts the 17th edition of the International Film Festival in Guanajuato, Mexico. This year, Polish cinematography is the festival's special guest. In the programme, apart from feature films, there are almost sixty Polish short, animated and documentary films.

“THE DOMINO EFFECT” AWARDED IN ARMENIA
On Saturday, 19th July in Yerevan the 11th International Film Festival Golden Apricot finished. "The Domino Effect" by Elwira Niewiera and Piotr Rosołowski won the Silver Apricot award in the documentary competition at the festival.

“TOTO” AWARDED IN THE UNITED STATES
Though over 3 months passed since the end of the American experimental film festival Ann Arbor, it was only yesterday that the news reached us that the festival's audience gave an award to the Polish animation "Toto" by Zbigniew Czapla.
THE FILM BY BOBRIK AWARDED IN BULGARIA
The 12th edition of the short film festival IN THE PALACE was held from 28th June to 4th July. Among the award-winning films, there is the Polish documentary "A Visit" by Matej Bobrik.
POLISH SHORT FILMS AT THE CURTAS FESTIVAL
The 22nd edition of the Curtas festival began on 5th July. In the programme, as every year, there is a screening of Polish short films. The animation "Blue Room" by Tomasz Siwiński will compete for the festival's Grand Prix in the main competition.
THE FILM “WHEN I AM A BIRD” AWARDED IN SLOVENIA
The jury of this year's edition of the Slovenian Festival of Migrant Film appreciated the film "When I Am A Bird" by Monika Pawluczuk, and awarded it with a Special Mention. The festival was held in Ljubljana from 12th to 20th June.
TWO AWARDS FOR “THE MOTHER”
Yesterday evening, at the closing ceremony of the Portuguese festival Fest, "The Mother" by Łukasz Ostalski won two awards. The 10th edition of the festival was held from 24th to 30th June.
