POLES AWARDED AT THE BANJALUKA FESTIVAL
On Tuesday ended the 7th edition of the International Animated Film Festival BANJALUKA. Among the award-winning films, there are as many as three Polish animations.

“OUR CURSE” NOMINATED FOR IDA AWARDS
The student documentary by Tomasz Śliwiński, “Our Curse,” was appreciated by the members of the International Documentary Association. The film was nominated for IDA Awards in the short film category.
“A VISIT” WINS THE SILVER EYE AWARD
The film by Matej Bobrik, “A Visit,” won the Silver Eye Award in the short film category at the East Silver Market, which ended yesterday. In the feature-length category, the Polish-Czech-Slovakian film “Gottland” received a Special Mention.
“ABU HARAZ” WINS THE ÂNÛÛ-RÛ ÂBORO FESTIVAL
The documentary by Maciej Drygas, “Abu Haraz” won the Grand Prix award at the Ânûû-Rû Âboro festival in New Caledonia. The eighth edition of the festival was held from 17 to 25 October.
“SATI” AND “LEFT SIDE OF THE FACE” AWARDED IN QATAR
Last Sunday, on 26 October, the International Documentary Film Festival Aljazeera ended in Qatar. "Sati" by Bartłomiej Świderski has been awarded in Qatar for the best direction and "Left side of the face" - for the best cinematography.
ANOTHER WEEKEND OF AWARDS FOR POLISH ANIMATED FILMS
Another weekend is gone. In the last days, two awards went to the Polish animated filmmakers, well-known to the foreign festival audience - Tomek Ducki (“Baths”) and Karolina Specht (“An Incredibly Elastic Man”).

This evening, the 7th Annual Imagine Science Film Festival comes to an end. We already know its winners. One of them is “Our Curse” by Tomasz Śliwiński, honoured by the jury with the Nature Scientific Merit Award.

WEEKEND AWARDS FOR “OUR CURSE”
Last weekend brought Tomasz Śliwiński two awards and a special mention. His student documentary “Our Curse” was chosen the best short documentary at Woodstock Film Festival, won the Jimmy Steward Memorial Crystal Heart Award at Heartland Film Festival and Special Mention at Indie Cork festival in Ireland.
“JOANNA” GETS THE AUDIENCE AWARD AT THE 30TH WARSAW FILM FESTIVAL
The anniversary 30th edition of Warsaw Film Festival ended last Sunday, 19 October. The festival audience appreciated the documentary by Aneta Kopacz, “Joanna,” which won the Audience Award in the short film category.
WEEKEND AWARDS FOR POLISH ANIMATED FILMS
Last weekend, the number of awards won by Polish animated films increased by two. Polish animated films were awarded by two juries - the jury of the Short Film Festival in Brno, and Be There! Animated Film Festival, held on the Greek island of Corfu.
THE ANIMATION BY KAROLINA SPECHT AWARDED IN ROMANIA
Among the winners of the 9th edition of the Romanian Animation Film Festival Anim’est there is Polish animated film etude, "An Incredibly Elastic Man" by Karolina Specht. The film was given the Special Mention in the student film category.
