WEEKEND AWARDS FOR “WITHOUT SNOW” AND “FROZEN STORIES”
The last weekend of October brought Polish filmmakers two awards. Two films by the graduates of the Polish National Film School in Łódź - Magnus von Horn and Grzegorz Jaroszuk were among the award-winners of the festivals in Kiev and Luxembourg.

At the turn of November and December, the anniversary 20th edition of Plus Cameraimage festival takes place in Bydgoszcz. Among the competition documentary films at this edition there is as many as eight Polish films.

“ARGENTINIAN LESSON” – THE WINNER AT DETOUR FESTIVAL
Last Sunday in Padua, the award ceremony of the first edition of the Detour International Travel Film Festival 2012 took place. The award for the best film of the festival went to "Argentinian lesson" by Wojciech Staroń.

The recent festival favourite, 11-minute-long, documentary etude by Martin Rath, shown at over 70 festivals all around the world, got as many as two awards last week.
“VERA GRAN” AND “DOCTORS” NOMINATED FOR THE PRIX EUROPA AWARD
This weekend in Berlin, the Prix Europa festival starts, at which the awards for the best European radio, television and internet productions are given. In the television documentary category, two Polish films are nominated for the award: "Vera Gran" by Maria Zmarz-Koczanowicz and "Doctors" by Tomasz Wolski.
THE FILMS BY THE STUDENTS OF THE NATIONAL FILM SCHOOL AWARDED IN SLOVAKIA
At the BARBAKAN festival in Slovakian Banská Bystrica, which ended last weekend, the students of the Łódź film school won unanimously in the short film competition.
IDFA ANNOUNCED THE RESULTS OF THE SELECTION
25th edition of the International Documentary Film Festival IDFA takes place from 14 to 25 November. Polish films are not missing from the festival's programme.
YET ANOTHER AWARD FOR “DECLARATION OF IMMORTALITY”
Yesterday evening, the 20th edition of Mountain Film Festival in Poprad came to an end. The documentary by Marcin Koszałka, shown in the competition section, was included among the award-winning films!
BALKANIMA HONOURS THE UNIVERSITY OF ARTS IN POZNAŃ
45 films sent to Belgrade from 21 countries were screened in the programme of this year's Serbian Balkanima. A special award, given annually to the best artistic school, this year went to Poland.

In Los Angeles, the 13th Polish Film Festival is being held. Last Tuesday, the documentary by Paweł Wysoczański "We will be happy one day" was awarded.
