Two Polish short film productions were appreciated by the jury of the 35th edition of the International Short Film Festival. The documentary film "In A Lion" by Karol Lindholm and the animated film "Portrait of Suzanne" by Izabela Plucińska left the capital of Germany with awards.
Since its world premiere at Sundance and Rotterdam IFF "Acid Rian" in still in the festival circuit. During this year the film was screened at almost 50 international film events all over the world, winning more than 10 awards. One of them gave the film an opportunity to be placed on the Academy Award long-list. Since its world premiere at Visions du Reel in Switzerland the latest film by Michał Bielawski - "The Wind. A Documentary Thriller" - was screened in Mexico, Germany, Russia and USA. It was also an Opening Film of the 59th Krakow Film Festival. Recently it was awarded as The Best Documentary at DocsMx in Mexico City, Silver Eye Special Mention and MDR Film Prize for Outstanding Central East European Documentary at DOK Leipzig.
