Next Thursday the Asiana International Short Film Festival begins. Celebrating the 70th anniversary of Polish animation, the festival prepared a special section devoted to Polish animated films.

THE NEW KFF SALES & PROMOTION DOCUMENTARY CATALOGUE
This year KFF Sales & Promotion started to represent 25 new Polish documentaries: 4 feature-, 10 middle-length and 11 short. KFF Sales & Promotion takes care of their festival promotion and sale of four of them abroad.
POLISH WINNERS OF THE WARSAW FILM FESTIVAL
On October 22nd the Warsaw Film Festival came to and end. Polish productions were among the winners.
POLISH FILMS AWARDED AT ASTRA FILM FESTIVAL
In the Romanian city of Sibiu the Astra Film Festival has just finished. Three Polish films were awarded in Romania: "Communion" by Anna Zamecka, "Urban Cowboys" by Paweł Ziemilski and "Education" by Emi Buchwald.
“CLOSE TIES” WINS THE AUDIENCE AWARD AT CINEAST
This weekend, the festival CinEast in Luxembourg ended. The Audience Award in the short film category went to the documentary film "Close Ties" by Zofia Kowalewska.
“ICON” WINS IN MEXICO
Documentary film "Icon" directed by Wojciech Kasperski received an award at the DocsMX Festival in Mexico.
“EVIL DEEDS” AWARDED IN CZECH REPUBLIC
On October 15th the International Student Film Festival in Písek came to an end. The Czech award went to Piotr Domalewski for his film "Evil Deeds".
POLISH FILM WEEK IN TOKYO
From October 21st to 27th film lovers in Tokyo will have a chance to familiarize themselves a little bit more with Polish cinema. Brilla Shorts Theater will host a screening of 22 short documentaries and animations, including documentary films by Krzysztof Kieślowski.
TWO POLISH FILMS AWARDED AT WIZ-ART
Last Sunday the official closing ceremony of the Wiz-Art Festival took place in Ukraine. Two Polish productions were awarded in Lviv: "Hot and Cold" by Marta Prus and "Polonaise" by Agnieszka Elbanowska.
TWO POLISH FILMS AWARDED AT BOSIFEST
On October 12th the Bosifest Festival in Serbia came to an end. Among the awarded films there were two productions from Poland: "Daniel" by Anastazja Dąbrowska and "Two Worlds" by Maciej Adamek.
8 SILVER EYE NOMINATIONS FOR POLISH FILMS
As every year, the East Silver Market gives an opportunity to watch over 50 latest documentaries produced or co-produced in Poland. Eight of them have been nominated to the Silver Eye awards for the best documentaries shown during the Market.
POLISH FILMS AT DOK LEIPZIG
On October 30th the 60th DOK Leipzig Festival will begin. This year, a strong representation of Polish productions will appear in Leipzig: one will take part in the competition, three will appear in out of competition sections, four will be presented in the anniversary programme "Now and Then – Then and Now" and thirteen will be shown in a special programme - "A Declaration of Love to Polish Documentary Film".
POLISH DOCUMENTARY FILMS AT IDFA
Eight Polish documentary films qualified for the participation in this year's edition of the IDFA festival! Six films will compete for the awards in the competition sections, and two will be shown in the noncompetive sections.
